M4AMP3Go

Privacy Policy

Your privacy is our top priority. M4AMP3Go is designed to keep your files completely private and secure.

Client-Side Processing

By default, all audio conversions happen directly in your web browser using WebAssembly technology. Your files are never uploaded to our servers, and all processing occurs locally on your device. This means:

  • Your files never leave your computer
  • No file data is transmitted over the internet
  • No file data is stored on any server
  • You maintain complete control over your files

Server Fallback

When browser limitations prevent client-side processing (such as memory constraints or unsupported features), M4AMP3Go automatically falls back to server-side conversion. In these cases:

  • Files are processed in real-time and immediately deleted
  • No files are permanently stored on our servers
  • File data is encrypted during transmission (HTTPS)
  • Processing happens in isolated, temporary environments
  • You will be notified when server fallback is used

Data Collection

M4AMP3Go does not collect, store, or share any personal information or file data. We do not use cookies for tracking or analytics. The only data processed is the audio files you explicitly choose to convert, and this data is handled according to the policies described above.

Third-Party Services

M4AMP3Go uses FFmpeg (via ffmpeg.wasm CDN) for audio processing. FFmpeg core files are loaded from a CDN for performance, but no file data is sent to third-party services.

Open Source

M4AMP3Go is built with transparency in mind. Our code is designed to be auditable, and we encourage security-conscious users to review our implementation to verify our privacy claims.

Your Rights

Since we don't collect or store any personal data, there is no data to access, modify, or delete. You have complete control over your files at all times, and you can use M4AMP3Go with confidence that your privacy is protected.

Questions about our privacy practices? Since M4AMP3Go doesn't collect any data, there's nothing to worry about. Your files stay yours, always.
